Anna is a Licensed Professional Counselor; she received an MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA . Anna resided in Virginia from 2008 to 2013 and counseled in a variety of settings. These included a group home for young women experiencing crisis pregnancies, church counseling teams, and a community behavioral health agency where Anna focused on adolescents with severe emotional disturbances.

In 2013, Anna returned to her hometown of Lake Charles, LA and completed requirements to receive a professional counseling license in Louisiana. During this time, Anna worked for several years at Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home, a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for adolescent boys with severe behavioral, emotional, and delinquency issues.  Anna also did group work with adults suffering from chronic mental illness at Bridgeway Psychiatric Center.  In addition, Anna worked part time at a private practice, seeing both adults and adolescents with issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and family conflict.

Anna works with both adolescents and adults who may suffer from issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and relationship / family conflicts. After years of working with victims of trauma and abuse, including sexual abuse, Anna’s counseling approach is compassionate, trauma-centered, and solution-focused. Anna has been privileged to see many people experience healing as they receive God’s love and grace through the counseling process.

Anna lives in New Roads, LA with her husband Josh, and enjoys ministering to youth in their community alongside Josh in his role as youth pastor at First Baptist Church of New Roads.
