Jarrod grew up in Walker, LA and graduated from Walker High School in 1995. He received a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Theatre from William Carey College in 2001 and went on to earn a Masters of Divinity in Psychology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2015. Jarrod’s first ministry position was as the student minister at Bedico Baptist Church at age 19. Since then, he has spent many years working with teenagers as a student minister, camp staffer, and family minister.
He currently works part time as a PLPC counselor and also teaches as an adjunct professor for Leavell College at a correctional facility in the Baton Rouge area. Jarrod enjoys working with clients in and out of the church environment and has spent a large part of his practice working with teenagers, adult men, and couples.
In addition to Veritas Counseling Center, Jarrod serves as a student minister at Judson Baptist Church in Walker. Jarrod and his wife Jo Lynn have live in the Baton Rouge area with their sons Eli, Justus & Asher.
