Mike grew up in Baton Rouge and graduated from LSU in 1994 with a chemistry degree.  After a couple of years as a chemist, he and his wife, Meredith, moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.  He attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he received a masters degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a masters degree in Christian Education.

He has worked in the local church since 1996 and the mental health field since 2000. In 2015, seeking to make counseling accessible for anyone, regardless of financial circumstances, he founded Veritas Counseling Center.

Mike enjoys working with people inside and outside the church, helping them live the lives they want to live.  He focuses on relationship issues, pre-marital and marital counseling, family systems, adolescent issues, men’s issues, depression, anxiety, suffering, and spiritual struggles.

Mike and Meredith have been married for 25 years, and they have a 21 year old daughter and a 19 year old son.
